Founder, Private Investigator, Media RelationsTruman Carelli is the co-founder of CM Strategies, a licensed private investigator and consultant. She has a background in investigations, intelligence analysis, and security, with experience working on complex matters involving criminal investigations, litigation support, and sensitive cases. Truman holds a B.A. in Security and Intelligence Studies with a concentration in Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, and Foreign Languages. She began her career in federal background investigations in Washington, D.C. in 2017 where she held an active Secret clearance and was adjudicated to a Top Secret level, and she managed over 100 investigators conducting national security vetting.
After relocating to Nashville, she transitioned into private investigations and nonprofit work focused on human trafficking and victim advocacy in 2021. In addition to investigative work, Truman frequently provides insight to media outlets and organizations on investigations, public safety, and trafficking-related issues. At CM Strategies, she focuses on delivering precise investigative insight and strategic analysis for clients navigating complex situations.
Founder, Private Investigator, Certified Professional Criminal Investigator Seth Carelli, co-founder of CM Strategies, from 2017 to 2021, was a Senior Level Field Investigator with Peraton, conducting federal background investigations for multiple agencies (OPM, ICE, CBP, DCSA, DOD, DHS) in D.C., NYC, and Nashville. While conducting background investigations for the federal government he was adjudicated to a Top Secret Security Clearance and held two active Secret Clearances.
Since 2021, he has been a Licensed Private Investigator and Consultant, managing complex cases including surveillance, interviews, and evidence gathering, working cases in Davidson County, Sumner County, Rutherford County, Wilson County, Williamson County, Trousdale County, Maury County and Robertson County. In addition to state criminal defense cases he has also assisted Defense Attorneys in the Middle District of TN. In the past 5 years he has assisted criminal defense attorneys on hundreds of cases providing valuable intelligence that assists in the freedom and case closure of countless defendants. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Security and Intelligence Studies, is a Certified Professional Criminal Investigator (CPCI).
Founder, Private Investigator, ConsultantBrandon Mignard, co- founder of CM Strategies, is a licensed private investigator based in Middle Tennessee who specializes in criminal defense investigations and complex felony cases. His work includes jury selection assistance, trial preparation, witness location and interviews, evidence development, and strategic case support for defense attorneys.
He has provided investigative support in criminal cases across Rutherford, Davidson, Maury, and Sumner Counties, and is available to assist legal teams in any county throughout the State of Tennessee. With experience working on serious felony matters — including homicide cases — Brandon delivers thorough, detail-driven investigative services aimed at strengthening defense strategies from pre-trial through trial.
